About Me

  1. I figured it was time to make this post in case someone hasn't done so already. Does anyone know if all the exclusive roms have been dumped from both the US and Japan versions of these Mini Consoles? I do legit have the US version personally, but am no hacker myself. I understand if say the Space Harrier games won't work on emulators currently, but that doesn't matter to me. I just like to keep the roms for archive purposes due to my passion for retro games. In any case, if anyone has info on if this has been done or will be done in the near future, just let us all know here. Thank you. :)
  2. Dummy File Rom Hack Autoboot Tested OST PVR TIP MR Click images to enlarge them. I'm putting the description behind spoiler tags because it's so damn long. There's a bunch in this download but if you don't care to know everything Linkuei, YoSoyNacho, and myself have done I'm not trying to make you scroll so much. Dreamcast CDI: [hide][Hidden Content]] Extras: [hide][Hidden Content]] Genesis Patched ROM: [hide][Hidden Content]] The Genesis ROM does not have the Dreamcast intro. This is a no-intro rom.
  3. Tested Autoboot PVR Included MR Inside Titled Binary Dummy File Inside Game Manual PDF Included Front, Back, Disc Art Included Underrated RPG for the Genesis. Not everyone's cup of tea but I always liked it. [Hidden Content] The PDF and art are on the disc. I'll upload them separately later. If you can't wait then mount or burn the disc and pull them from the extras folder.
  4. Format is CDI DEmul exclusive, will not work in Redream/Flycast [Hidden Content]
  5. PVR Inside MR Injected Titled IP Included Autoboot Rom Hack Tested Yes friends, you read that right. This is a full autoboot, meaning no GLC, no menu screen to load the game. Just pop her in and she plays. This version of Gens4All was produced by Ian Michael for the Cowabunga Collection. It supports all the old stuff the TapamN release had plus improved audio and of course the autoboot feature. You can still access the features menu by pushing up on the stick, just no more loading menu. EMU note - ONLY DEMUL. Sorry to all caps but I get asked loads and I wanted it to be eye catching. Gens4All is produced for real Dreamcasts and only Demul recreates a real Dreamcast to such a high degree it can handle running Gens4All. If you want to play on Redream or Flycast you're going to have to pester the devs behind those EMU's. To be very clear, it is no fault of Gens4All that Redream/Flycast can't render it properly. It is the emulators' short coming. If you're reading Ian, thanks a million for the hex editor hint. As you can tell by the time stamp it did not take me long after you dropped that tidbit. If you're burning and can't add dummy files yourself request it here or DM me. Do not burn CDI's with very small file sizes. Ask me to dummy file them to save your GD-ROM the wear. It's no bother to me. I mostly produce stuff for storage devices because most of the users seem to have them. I burn myself, so, I actually use a dummy file version anyway. I just don't upload them straight away most the time because I live in rural Florida with terribly slow internet. Dreamcast: [Hidden Content] Genesis: Rom can be found in my SOR2 Smash Pack thread. There's going to be a folder link at the bottom of the thread with all the Genesis roms I used to make the SmashPack. Just scroll down, click the last link, find the rom you're after. You might see a few other hacks you like there too.:
  6. Created by ShindouGO Nice menu system Background music Tested Loads of features Great work by Shin. Be warned, not everything is going to work in an emu. The cdi will play everything on a real Dreamcast and I didn't notice anything glitch-wise that would be Shin's fault so much as a sort coming of the packed in programs. For example, say you load the PS1 game, not really Shin's fault bleem is a bit spotty. The menu system looks, sounds, and functions really well. [Hidden Content]
  7. Tested in DEmul PVR Included GLC Included I misspelled adventures on the game list compiler, um, twice . Didn't notice until I was taking the screenshots. May have misspelled more games and didn't notice. If it bothers you let me know and I'll fix it, tomorrow. I'm quite tired at the moment. Games: Animaniacs Castlevania - Bloodlines Contra - Hard Corps Double Dribble - The Playoff Edition International Superstar Soccer Deluxe Rocket Knight Adventures Sparkster Sunset Riders Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - The Hyperstone Heist Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Tournament Fighters Tiny Toon Adventures - ACME All-Stars Tiny Toon Adventures - Buster's Hidden Treasure Zombies Ate My Neighbors The 3 games not here are not here because they do not work well on Dreamcast. I tried non-gens4all solutions and those are just not good so the 13 here are pretty set in stone. Almost every game Konami every made for Genesis. 9. Tested PVR included GLC included Infinite Lives Infinite Mutant Powers Infinite Helpers Jean picking you up doesn't cost health Mojo World Reset fixed I was going to make the 8th Smash Pack superhero games but quite a lot of them don't work in Gens4All so I'm releasing the ones that do as singles rather than creating a Smash Pack with like 5 or 6 games in it. I've made this one quite a lot easier than it used to be. Should be child friendly now. Dreamcast: [hide][Hidden Content]] Genesis: [hide][Hidden Content]]
  10. Created by Ro Magnus Larson. 236 games Tested in Demul Magnus did not create a GLC bin. The games are organized in folders but the navigation is on you. Likewise there is no PVR included. I made no changes at all. This is a re-up of Ro's work, nothing more. I did not test every game. It's not my work so any bugs and such are not something I plan on addressing. Report that sort of stuff to Ro Magnus Larson on Dreamcast-Talk. Game List: CDI: [hide][Hidden Content]] ISO: [hide][Hidden Content]]
  11. Full Autoboot PVR Included MR Tagged Rom Hack I mucked up the titled IP but most of y'all won't even notice that. You need to either hack the cdi or look at it in redream, which can't play the game anyway, and you'll see it is titled but appears blank in redream. Dunno why. Replaced all characters, all enemies and all bosses. Added shadow for all characters, all enemies and all bosses. Some enemies have new attacks, that will surprise experienced players. Characters replaced by Raph, Leo, Donnie, Mikey, April O’Neil, Splinter and Casey Jones. All seven playable characters can jump further while running All of the characters attacks are similar to those from TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge. The game has juggling for both players and enemies. Players can recover from a hit by pressing the jump button upon landing (as in SOR4) The command to run (f, f) becomes more sensitive. All playable characters can jump further while running. You can use the Offensive Special while running Added 6-Button gamepad Support. Uppercut now is Y-button. Friendly fire is disabled. Added new sounds for players and enemies. A new plot has been written for the game. Changed the title screen Changed all Story Screen in the game For the first time in sor2 hacking, switching between normal and turbo mode has been added to the option Added turbo mode Dreamcast: [Hidden Content] Genesis: [hide][Hidden Content]]
  12. Tested in DEmul PVR Included GLC Included No hacks because none would work properly, but the game's pretty great just as it is. No sound, visual, or slowdown issues. You can see in my screens it's running at 60 fps. [hide][Hidden Content]] No unhacked base rom, I messed it up while mucking with the hacks and have to retrieve it again. I do still have it with color enhancement hack: [hide][Hidden Content]] I prefer the unhacked palette though. It's a bit darker toned, which in my opinion suits the Turtles better.
  13. PVR included GLC included TapamN's z80 Gens4All Tested in DEmul CDI: [hide][Hidden Content]] This is another one I have to learn how to make ISO for. I'll chuck the plainfiles in lazyboot later today or tomorrow and see what I get.

  15. PVR MR GLC Tested in Demul - Only works in Demul or on a real Sega Dreamcast. No Redream or Flycast or Nullcast or anything else. Demul/Dreamcast and that is it. I started with 82 but after testing only 69 made it. It was a bunch to test so if one got by me I'm not shocked. Report it and I'll update accordingly. I should also note for anyone trying themselves, if you're going to port a game you have to test at least a full level. There's plenty of games I do not include in SmashPacks that launch. You need to actually play them a bit before you can say it probably works and even then if you did not 100% it, it may fail later in the game. And finally, if there's a game you want that is not here it probably didn't work. I casted a wide net for this one. That said, it doesn't hurt to shoot me a line and ask me. I could have missed a few. 16. Hello! Mega Games Almanac is a Sega Mega Drive game compilation on a single cartridge published by 1985 Alternativo in February 2019. Does anyone have this ROM and could upload it, please? Thank you!
  17. Tested in Demul PVR included GLC included Gamelist: Mortal Kombat Mortal Kombat 2 Mortal Kombat 3 NBA Hang Time NBA Jam Revolution X Super High Impact Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 Williams Arcade's Greatest Hits WWF WrestleMania The Arcade Game No hacks because Dreamcast didn't like Jam and UMK with any hacks. There's some really great MK3/UMK hacks out there but unfortunately they can't be Dreamcasted, currently. As far as I know, this is all the Midway games made for genesis. Let me know if I missed any. I'll add them if I'm able. 19. Tested in DEmul PVR Included English Patched This is an unlicensed RPG from Taiwan whose English patch was created ages ago. A few years back Piko Interactive picked it up and released it on Steam. It's pretty good, drags a bit and it's a bit grindy but not a bad game and for an unlicensed it's one of the best. Genesis didn't have many menu based RPGs so it's one of the best there too. Not Phantasy Star quality, but a fine game. I know a lot of people love Pier Solar, to be honest I felt about them same for this one. If you really liked Pier then you'd probably disagree, but if you felt Pier dragged a bit then Brave is about equal. Genesis to Genesis of course, this lacks the audio and FMVs of the PS DC release. 3 out of 5 Gator Chomps Dreamcast: [hide][Hidden Content]] Genesis: [hide][Hidden Content]] Cannon works and I may upload it soon Beggar Prince, Star Odyssey, Legend of Wukong, and Vixen can not be ported to Dreamcast otherwise my next Smash Pack would have unofficial RPGs.
  20. Tested PVR Inside GLC Compiled Includes Phantasy Star 2, 3, and 4 along with all 8 PS2 Adventure games. All games have improvement, bugfix, and retranslation patches applied. If I ever figure out a good means to compiling smsplus with gens4all I'll redo this to include PS1 but my last go at that is clunky and ugly so for now Gens titles only. 21. PVR MR GLC RH A collection of all the Genesis TMNT games and hacks. The Cowabunga Collection left out a little more than half the titles. I did include HH unhacked but did not include TF without hacks because I felt like the differences in Heist was significant while the differences in Fighters was not. Game 1: "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Shredder's Re-Revenge" Game 2: "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - The Hyperstone Heist" Game 3: "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles of Kaizo" Game 4: "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles of Rage Remix" Game 5: "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles of Rage" Game 6: "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - The Final Shell Shock" Game 7: "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - The Legend Returns" Game 8: "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Tournament Fighters Playable Bosses" Game 9: "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Turtles in Time" Game 10: "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - The Hyperstone Heist Enhanced" Game 11: "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Gaiden" Dreamcast: [Hidden Content] Genesis: [Hidden Content] Sega Smash Pack Volume 13 Sega Smash Pack Volume 12 Sega Smash Pack Volume 11 Sega Smash Pack Volume 10 Sega Smash Pack Volume 9 Sega Smash Pack Volume 8 Sega Smash Pack Volume 7 Sega Smash Pack Volume 6 Sega Smash Pack Volume 5 Sega Smash Pack Volume 4 Sega Smash Pack Volume 3 Sega Smash Pack Volume 2 Sega Smash Pack Volume 1

  23. PVR MR GLC Tested in Demul Lin Kuei's Genesis enhancement hacks. The only one missing is Prince of Persia 2's horse level fix because it is included in the remaster so there's no point in it anymore. Screenshots of Lin Kuei's work are on the left, the ones on the right are original game screens for comparison's sake. Click to enlarge. I should probably note, Vinnie Vincent is Lin's avatar on Romhacking. I did the same for the Pyron SmashPack. If you don't know who Vinnie is, shame on you. Lin is a person of fine tastes. Vinnie's the Wizard character in Kiss. The lead guitarist who replaced Ace, the Spaceman. Games included: 1: Altered Beast Arcade 2: Golden Axe II Recolored 3: Mortal Kombat Arcade Edition 4: Prince of Persia Remastered 5: Prince of Persia II Remastered 6: Rock N Roll Racing Improved 7: Shadow of the Beast II Recolored 8: Space Harrier II Arcade 9: Sunset Riders Recolored 10: The Terminator Remastered 11: Turican Fixed Known Glitches: Not everything sounds great and Beast 2 is missing its BG gradient, unfortunately.
