Epic has officially downed tools on its long-in-development Unreal Tournament revival, company boss Tim Sweeney has confirmed.

It's not a huge surprise - the Fortnite maker has been rather busy focusing on its battle royal phenomenon, not to mention prepping its

"Unreal Tournament remains available in the store but isn't actively developed," Sweeney told

This has been for like years now. I use to make maps for UT4 back in the day but the seen and the forum after fortnight came out and became a thing dried up and most of epic staff got moved to that so what was left felt like 5 people so i'm a little suppressed this announcement took this long.
All in all it's kinda sad UT4 was shaping up to be a good game for people that are into 90's fast paced shooters and could of easily killed TOXIKK and other games that where trying to bring back that area of games. Epic could of launched launched UT4 back in mid 2016 ~ early 2017 if they just doped the hole "alpha early access" BS and made a few more of there one maps and content instead of relining on the community to do it for them.
