MobCat
Renaming the title in a XBE file so they show up different in your dashboard but yes the app is for windows. This would be handy for things like if you had both copys of halo and the japanese copy of halo yukiko posted then your could rename the japanese one so you can tell them apart. From memory this would also be good dead or alive ultimate as from memory when you rip them 1 and 2 come up in the dashboard as the same name. This app appears to only support ASCII so you can't rename games with Japanese or other non English name (Well you could but only name it to something English) Worst screenshot ever i really need to find some money for a composite video capture thingy 1
tlgamer
Not to sound like a douche bag but there is no need for an XBE renamer. I'm not sure if you're aware that there is already an option to rename xbe titles built into pretty much every dashboard and a lot of versions of XBMC and works with any XBE regardless of where it came from or what it's attached to. It can be done directly on the XBOX itself. No computer needed and no need to FTP files. Go to the file explorer/file manger or whatever it's named in your dashboard (Best is either the SID installer menu or UleashX), find the XBE you want to rename and press the white button to bring up the menu, there are 2 rename options, one is just rename and the other is rename xbe title. Press A on rename xbe title and rename it. Edited June 28, 2019 by tlgamer

tlgamer
How does this tool rename anything without any option to do so? Once they have the xbe file has been loaded into the program, clicking on the file itself, right clicking, even going to options, reveals no option to "Rename" anywhere in the tool. I don't get it? It's not very intuitive old software... Load up the xbe. Select the title you want to edit. Then click the name of the title, the text it's self. It will change to a text input box like this. Type what you want and press enter. It will turn red Click the process button at the bottom and it will be renamed now

Pedroo7
Thanks for this tool, i will try it now. I generaly use xbmc to rename .xbe, but i noticed that changes do not replicate from a dash to another, sometimes from a skin to another too... Hope this tool will do the job. matador
It seems to me that this tool has an extra use to separate some emulators. Gen/GG/SMS/SCD...
