Did I brick my PSV after updating to 3.65 Enso??

MuGGzy

Question

1000 w/ an sd2vita
everything worked great before on 3.60 w/Henkaku and Enso
Followed the video instructions to upgrade to Enso 3.65 and that seemed to go great.
System properties shows Henkaku 3.65

After install I rebooted and used switch_sd2vita and edited the config.txt file to put nonpdrm back in and rebooted
(gamesd.skprx and nonpdrm.skprx both dropped into ur0:tai)

after reboot I lost icons (including molecule shell) for anything on PS Memory card and still no sd2vita.
rebooted again and went to safe mode and "rebuilt DB"
got icons for stuff on memory card back but if I look at config.txt it has been rebuilt with nothing loading.
cannot install vitashell from molecule and vitashell.vpk on ps memory card, get an 0Xe1019*** error at end of install (don't recall exact hex number)

If I re upload the config.txt file (via ftp) with all the lines for the plugins where they belong and reboot it all starts over again with nothing but stock "bubbles"

made sure nonpdrm is newest version so it's compat with 3.65
DL fresh copy of vitashell 1.94 but still can't install it
latest build of switch_sd2vita

as it sits now, I have a "known good" sd in the sd2 vita, no /tai folder on that in the PSV, also have a ps mem card, also no /tai folder there

if I try to re install Henkaku from the WWW it obviously tells me that v3.65 is not supported.

any ideas or suggestion on how to get out of this "loop" and get it to load the plugins again?

Have you used the zzBlank.img to format the SD?

(You can get

This is the hidden content, please
)

Had almost the same problem with mine. Put the SD2Vita in the Vita and set the right line in the ur0 config and nothing it always asked me to format the memory card and after that all installed bubbles where gone.

If not do it that was the only way to get my SD2Vita working on my 3.65 Slim with ENSO after using h-encore for installing.

Even tho i did nothing else different than just format it using that file and Win32DiskImager

Also i would rather use this

This is the hidden content, please
(working on all my systems 3.60, 3.65 and 3.68)

Now to get VitaShell back you have to use h-encore to install it after that i would do it like this.

Backup the original memory card to Windows via VitaShell USB.

Format the SD2Vita with the zzBlank.img

Put the backed up files from the orginal card on the SD2 Vita

Put "storagemgr.skprx" and "storage_config.txt" to ur0:tai folder

If it exists, remove ux0:tai/config.txt.

In ur0:tai/config.txt after *KERNEL create a new line and write: ur0:tai/storagemgr.skprx

Configure ur0:tai/storage_config.txt to what you want.

That's how i did it and have it working.

ok so I got h encore installed successfully

Vitashell works

Molicule shell works

I have removed all "tai" folders besides the one on ur0

I removed the gamesd.skprx and installed and configured storage mgr correctly as far as I can tell (I get a log file that looks like it's doing it's thing)

I have tried a brand new SD card imaged it and formatted it and still no matter what I try if I remove teh sony mem card and put in the SD card I get nothing but stuck bubbles.

I HAVE to be missing something silly here

Hmm did you copied the files of the original card to the SD2Vita card after formatting it?

If so it really should work than.

But maybe you could try also my configs here

config.txt (just remove the plugins you don't have like repatch, kuio and vsh)

storage_config.txt (I mount the orginal card as uma0 and the SD2Vita as ux0)

Is your SD2Vita from a known reliable vendor?  The Henkaku forums recommend specific vendors and, I think, either v2 or v5.  I have definitely heard of people getting multiple sd2Vita adapters that were just garbage right out of the box.  If you're not 100% sure yr adapter is good, at this point it sounds like the problem.  I have v5 adapters that I got from a random aliexpress store and I was just lucky, but not everybody is.
