Not sure how they managed to cut a full year off the schedule but I have a feeling it was set for 2023 in case the dev ran into problems so he had enough time to fix them. Mega is blocked in some countries (usually ISP blocks) and people in that situation have to resort to using VPN. It has data limits regardless of where you are anyway just as 1fichier has. Probably because Brazilians and Indians that have to deal with such ISP blocks are aware of them and use VPN. It isn't just mega being blocked that they have to deal with. Some people in UK and Spain, for example, get confused by what they see when trying to download from zippy. To them it looks like the link is legit dead. That zippy example isn't ISP blocks afaik, it's zippy that is blocking UK & Spain (probably some other places too) from downloading files. Zippy is trying to reduce dmca notices by doing that. They might've been spammed by it at some point but idk. The same thing might be going on with 1fichier too but idk for sure. Maybe it's ISP blocks or maybe it's the host doing it... I'm sorry if you have taken anything I've said the wrong way. I'm an Aussie and usually just get straight to the point, but yeah there might be some joking or whatever going on sometimes which may appear confusing. My choice of host is just easier for me for various reasons. ISPs don't offer great speeds where I am (I have the top speed in my locale but it's still quite pitiful really) and after mega nuked my account I just decided, screw this 😆 I did use zippy for a bit as it has anonymous uploads, but splitting the files all the time plus they remove content randomly... yeah I looked for something else and 1fichier just fits me perfectly right now. I know it isn't great for everybody but that's the world we live in now. I just try to be helpful to people even if I might seem a bit lazy about it. Off the top of my head I think the requirement is like 10 posts? So if you've already grabbed some stuff from around the forums and just upvoted, go back and post something in those threads... or post elsewhere like in General Discussions or whatever.
