I'll even take it a step more and give y'all a little tutorial for NGCD porting. There's really no good place for me to pop tuts up in so here's as good as any.

Spoiler

It's pretty balls easy but not every game can be ported. I waste a lot of time porting games that just won't work between releases. So, if you do what I tell you and you got bit crap, don't get discouraged, just pick a new game and have another go at it. You can hack the games prior to porting to get more compatibility but that's a bit outside the scope of what I'm going to teach you and probably a bit much for a total beginner.

One last bit of pussyfooting, I taught myself. So, I could be wrong about any of this. This is not necessarily how you're meant to port NGCD to DC, it is how I port NGCD to DC though.

So, obviously first thing you'll need is an ISO. The link I gave for MS2 is a full NGCD TOSEC ISO dump, so, just pick a game there if you don't know where to get them.

next is the hack. I followed the manual install instructions but being as this is the only hack on romhackin.net for NGCD so you probably won't be applying hacks, but if you were you'd do it now and by whatever means the hack explains.

Once you have what you're ready to package for Dreamcast you'll need DreamNeo.

Take all the files out of the DreamNeo folder and pop them into a folder to work in.

Open the ISO using 7zip or some such similar.

Copy all the contents of the ISO into the folder you made that has the DreamNeo files in it. Do not make a separate folder, do not organize these beyond just dumping them all into the same folder.

You do not need the ISO anymore.

You do not need the CUE either.

Now before you can continue you need to download and unzip Bootdreams, your Game Image Creator.

In Bootdreams folder you'll see a folder called cdda

Copy all your mp3s into cdda. If you wanted to put custom music in, you could, just make sure it is named properly. What I mean is if your ISO came with Track 1.mp3 and you want to replace Track 1 with say Killing in the Name you need to rename Killing to Track 1 and you should be good. Do not delete Audio.Raw.

Okay now that you have your ISO extracted into the same folder as your DreamNeo files and you have your MP3s in the cdda folder under Bootdreams you're ready to make an image.

The first image we make isn't going to run on a Dreamcast but it is going to prepare everything into a structure we can convert to something a Dreamcast will play. If we could we'd go straight to CDI but we can't so first we'll make an MDS/MDF

Launch Bootdreams

Drag the folder you placed your DreamNeo and extracted ISO files into onto Bootdreams

There's a bunch of symbols in Bootdreams near the top, to the far left you have a snake, one over is Nero's burning roman shit, and the one more after that you'll see Alcohol 120's A symbol. Click it.

Now click extras.

make sure there's a check by add cdda tracks and go into ISO settings. Make sure there's a check by each of them, full filenames, juliet, rock ridge, all of them.

CD label is not important yet but you should name it something you'll spot right away.

click process

It's going to ask you a bunch of shit like are you sure you want to make an alcohol 120 image with cdda, click yes.

It's going to take it a bit and you'll see some windows pop up and close while it's working. Just chill, watch a Youtube or some such.

BootDreams will notify you when it is done with a beep....or maybe a boop.

Now that you have an MDS/MDF you need to mount it with Deamon Tools or some such similar.

Once mounted you can rip it with Discjuggler. I'm pretty sure our Fraggle uploaded a cracked version here so you should probably search that out because I only linked the official website.

In Discjuggler all you need to do is select create image from disc.

Pick your virtual drive to rip from and set your destination folder. I get weird issues when I try to give my games a proper label sometimes and the fix seems to be keeping it short. So for Metal Slug 2 I just named it MS2.cdi

Once DJ has done its thing you can unmount and delete the MDS/MDF, your old work folder, and the mp3s in Bootdreams CDDA folder, but you should probably test it first.

I always test in Redream first. Redream has decent compatibility but is far more fickle than DEmul or a real DC. So if it works in Redream it probably works in everything. If it doesn't, that's okay, it may work in DEmul still which give it a very very good chance or working on real hardware as well.

That's that, now you can port NeoGeo CD to Dreamcast as well.

You can convert MVS or AES NeoGeo titles to NeoGeo CD to run on DreamNeo as well.

Pretty cool that the slowdown is removed. Kinda sucks the sound quality isn't great, but not the biggest deal.

I edited this because I didn't want people to get confused.

Speeds are good, sounds are cdda, everything is nice. Lefty's commenting on an older version. The version linked now is much better.

is slow as hell why? my friend iso instead even if not turbo version runs ten times better than this. also when added from gd menu card manager 1.33 gives error "ignored". same sonic 1. mario kart instead is ok

Link me the ISO. How am I supposed to know what the difference is based on the information you gave me? I can add turbo to your friend's ISO and repack it as an ISO or CDI, whichever you need.

Sonic was made to be burned. It's probably because of the cd player layer.  Mario Kart was not made with dummy files or cdda audio.

Are you sure your GDEmu is compatible with the engines? I don't have GDEmu, I burn discs. Tell me exactly what you're using and I'll look up how it operates. What GDEmu version, clone or og, etc.

I'm going to assume there's some kind of language barrier here and cut to the quick:

I'll do my best.

hi so you have managed to add turbo version to my iso or not?
