a topic posted nanashi89 in (PSP) Game Requestshttps://www.romhacking.net/translations/3560/ Thanks in advance!
Well, I'll give a topic a try! Overall I very much enjoyed Persona 5 and give it a 8.5/10. However, after I finally finished it after 100-some hours, I realized it was almost want I wanted, but not exactly. I'd probably say the main issue for me was replayability. The long loading times for and after battles, the slow daily loading screens, and the absence of Haru until later in the game. Idk if it was just me, but watching Mr. Main Character running in circles after every battle while a random teammate kneels (I still don't understand why they do that) was painfully boring after 100 times or so. I also felt that Haru got the short end of the stick cast wise. Apparently Hifumi was mean to even be in the game, and Haru was added in as a last ditch effort to "give Westerners something to relate to" (according to a dev article I read that I can't seem to find) and Hifumi was scrapped entirely to save time. At least in Persona 3 and 4, the late game characters were in some way related to the story. Haru didn't seem to add anything at all to the story. They called her the "Polar Opposite of Mitsuru", and I was excited to see how she was presented. In the end, she was hardly presented at all. Still I really loved Persona 5. It was undeniably an JRPG masterpiece that was polished to a gleaming shine, and definitely one of the best JRPGs I've played in a long time. I enjoyed the huge twist at the end, the characters (apart from one of them...), the graphics, the music, and the setting a lot.
a topic posted Ravenstorm in General DiscussionsIf you were waiting for a good deal on either of these games, this is probably the best I've seen! Sale ends next week (6.5 days after today 9/26), so make up your mind quickly! I might grab Akiba's Beat. I haven't heard great things about it, but it has a solid 40 hour play value with a "Tales of" type of battle system. I think I'd enjoy as much as a Hyperdimension Neptunia (since it doesn't seem to take itself seriously either) game at least! I have heard great things about Fate/Extella, and I personally enjoyed it (it can be difficult at least it was for me at first), but I think maybe most people would go for the PS4 or PC version to see those amazing characters in full glory on their big TVs/monitors. Some people might think the Vita is "dying" or "dead" (boy does that lie annoy me), but look here, another JRPG will arrive on May 2nd (May 9th Europe though sorry)! It's about a virtual world of high school students who are trapped by an AI diva against their (oblivious) will. Seems like some kind of Matrix spin off, since some students were able to notice the "lie". I'm really curious about the AI idol, I wonder if she is truly no good, or just lonely? I want this game! It's written by the Persona 2 author (get ready for a DARK PLOT?), and the gameplay is from the team who made Sword Art Online (you should recognize the combat immediately if you played SAO). There is apparently 500 teammates to choose from, all with their own story. Sounds pretty exciting! The BIGGEST issue for me is that the game is DOWNLOAD ONLY. I need to reconfigure my Vita since it's in Japanese mode now..X_X Game Homepage: http://atlus.com/caligulaeffect/ Game Story Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LbwSYoRo77M Evil (?) Idol:
