    @OldClassicGamer The question is not how to locate the textures but where, because there are simply way too many of them. Also, locating just one texture wouldn't help much with finding the remaining bunch, as there are menu textures and the like besides the gameplay ones... The real issue here is that I can't see any methods of automatically batch-converting the decompressed textures into something viewable, so far each one has to be adjusted by hand, which is as time-consuming as you can imagine. But yeah, I've seen RTB's thread on vg-resource and I'm using the CPK0 decompression script from there.

    @OldClassicGamer The issue with the quick swap approach is that along the way I'd be indiscriminately importing all the textures from the English version into the Japanese one, meaning that I'd still have to comb through them all to find the Oil Man's textures in every spot they're present... and that's not all! The localised version of the game has some lines split in two in about half of the game's events, making all of those appear glitchy as hell when imported into the Japanese version. I believe there's a reason why that YouTuber featured a playthrough for Proto Man specifically, as his route is the only one that doesn't have any split lines/textboxes from start to finish. Apparently, even that one has some problems: notice anything off about the textbox here? lol Having said that, I'm still planning to go back to this one at a later date and focus on browsing through the textures specifically.
  5. Update 2021-09-23: Resolved the crash occurring during the Guts Man's stage intro. Title ID: ULUS10091 [Hidden Content] A couple of things to note: ※ Time Man's "hmpf" in the Elec Man vs Time Man banter sounds stuttery. ※ The Japanese version of the game has higher bitrate event voice clips but if imported as they are, the localised version skips about half of them. Those had to be slightly compressed. ※ I'm not too sure about some of the imported sound banks but they seem to be functioning correctly. Please reach out to me in case you'll spot any oddities regarding the sfx audio for the extra characters.

    @GatorCountry Once every blue moon it's like that for me as well. The fallback solution is attaching the image links via Other Media -> Insert Image from URL in the bottom right corner of the editor box... or typing in the BB codes by hand.

To my surprise, the old undub by asmodean turned out to be solely a quick and dirty copy-and-paste job, leaving the English sfx voice clips intact. Requested by @Try. If you're playing in widescreen and/or using cheats on PCSX2, be sure to rename your pnaches to reflect the modified executable's new checksum: 1CC39DBD.pnach -> 22C185BD.pnach

The line length parameters in the cutscene scripts have been adjusted to match their Japanese counterparts, so no voice clips are getting cut off. However, the lip-sync data wasn't carried over. I also took the liberty to un-invert the y-axis camera controls. Apply this patch in case you'd like to revert that change. If you're playing in widescreen and/or using no-interlacing codes or cheats on PCSX2, be sure to rename your pnaches to reflect the modified executable's new checksum: 1B3EDC36.pnach -> 158FA006.pnach or if you have reverted the camera controls change: 1B3EDC36.pnach -> 5D0E3957.pnach

    @Puxirepublic As you have noted, the issue here lies with PCSX2 itself and the emulator maintainers' unwillingness to approve the "unofficial CRCs", which they simply remove. The devs are actively gimping the modded games' compatibility. See the PR with this undub's default CRC get rejected shortly (Edit: told ya). The most reasonable workaround in such predicament would be to apply the patch to revert the un-inverted camera controls changes, which will restore the unmodified elf, and then manage the inverted camera situation however you like. I always provide the patches to revert the non-essential executable changes btw.

    @Chocolateunu Welp, I gave it an honest attempt. Everything works fine other than the raw Japanese FMVs displaying severe corruption-like artefacts in-game. Normally I would've just remuxed the video streams for the 25 FPS PAL ones but AE3's str FMVs were put together using some funky proprietary multiplexer, so no can do.

Also, all of the characters got their names un-localised along the way. Shout-out to BloodRaynare for discovering that the English soft subs were possible at all.

    @Chocolateunu The European undub gets requested surprisingly often, I might as well give in and provide the EU patch one of these days if there'll be no extra PAL-specific hoops to jump through to get there.
